I was wondering how to describe him, but then realized that the name speaks volumes by itself. Only the title Artist could encompass a personality for whom passion translates into a vital expressiveness, no matter the medium, no matter the environment he works in. He is by nature very kind and subtle, softly spoken and usually only raising his voice to give a compliment. He is humble, he is honest, and he is a cultured man of remarkable talent. From designing fashion for Mastori, Galliano, Dior and Chloe, to photographing the fashion for Giambattista Valli, Vogue, Harpers, W, and more. From celebrated journalism, interviewing more than 300 industry icons on his acclaimed blog Nouveau Ideal to his new challenge. This year, Filep Motwary makes his debut as curator at the Fashion Museum of Hasselt, opening up the dialogue between haute couture and the high street.

So many challenges I would say…
Forming all these thoughts into a main idea,
locating the garments and accessories,
preparing the book, interviewing all these wonderful people,
choosing the photographs that will illustrate their answers.
There is one left to discover,
if the museum visitors will be able to define the line between
Haute Couture and prêt-à-porter.
Without drive there’s not action
and without action there would be no result.
So yes, all is linked I would say.
