Marton Perlaki’s work is witty yet enigmatic. The thirty-three year old Hungarian is an artist of two minds: one is that of a romantically driven perfectionist the other mysterious and unknowable.
What unites them is his undeniable talent, drive, curiosity, and fascination for the extraordinary in the ordinary.
He majored in Photojournalism and continued his studies with a Masters degree in Cinematography at the Budapest University of Theater and Film Studies.
Even at such an early stage of his artistic life and career, he has a vast and vivid line-up of editorial work behind him for publications such as SSAW, T Magazine, AnOther, Time, Wallpaper, Muse, M Le Monde, and Holiday, aswell as advertising campaigns for Louis Vuitton & Carven.
Named as one of the Best Emerging Photographers by the British Journal of Photography, here Marton presents five previously unpublished images.
