Shall we listen to the river and be hypnotized by the sound of the current, the endlessness of its ripples, or get lost in a naive and romantic world mysteriously filled with intrigue and lust?
In the work of artist Theopsy, the fisherman is a poet,
the sun is a wise man, the lover is a two-headed monster or Messiah or both.
Born in Boston, raised between Paris and London, he moved to the island of Naxos after graduating from Les Beaux Arts to learn the ancient skills of marble carving.
His enigmatic persona and characteristically Kouros profile give him the air of an old soul that’s found itself in the modern world.
In a young but already distinguished and acclaimed career, Theopsy has exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo in 2010, received an award for a giant graffiti piece created in Australia in 2011, and today inspires us with five previously unpublished neo-erotic scenes.
